MY MUSICAL STORY
Kerri Elizabeth is a Waco-based violinist who has been studying music since she was 4 years old. An accomplished performer, Kerri Elizabeth has appeared with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, American Youth Concert Orchestra (concertmaster), AYCO Junior Chamber Ensemble, American Youth Symphonic Orchestra (concertmaster), American Youth Philharmonic, the Iceberg Chamber Music Institute, Institute Suzuki Montreal Orchestra, the U.S. Army Orchestra, Air Force Strings, the First Baptist Church of Alexandria Orchestra (principal violin), and the Baylor Symphony Orchestra (associate concertmaster).
Originally from the great state of Maine, she was the youngest musician accepted into the Karger College Preparatory Program in 2016 at the age of 10 where she performed a specially commissioned piece at the Maine College of Art Music festival. Later that year, she became the youngest musician ever accepted into the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2019 Kerri Elizabeth relocated to Washington, DC to become a Youth Fellow with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO). While in DC, she studied under Ricardo Cyncynates (NSO) for 3 years, before joining the studio of Wanzhen Li (NSO) in 2022. In 2024, Kerri Elizabeth won the first place prize at the Home Educators Association of Virginia (HEAV)’s Music Competition performing solo before the convention's keynote speaker. In 2025, she held her senior recital at the Kennedy Center’s Millenium Stage.
After finishing her studies in DC in 2025, she joined the studio of Patricia Shih at Baylor University, where she is currently working towards her BA in Violin Performance.
Equally comfortable in the recording studio, Kerri Elizabeth composed and recorded multiple violin parts for a Quebecois recording artist. She has performed solo and in ensembles on various stages from Maine to Montreal, and DC to St. John’s, including: the Appalachian Chamber Music Festival, the Kennedy Center’s “Millennium Stage'', the Dirksen Senate Building, the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Rachel M. Schlesinger Hall, Baylor University’s Jones Concert Hall, The Lyceum, The Athenaeum, and more across the U.S. and Canada.
